Anaïs – Product Manager

Can you briefly describe the role and responsibilities of your position within the company?

As Product Manager, my main role is to support the customer in his project and guarantee his satisfaction by ensuring that his expectations and deadlines are fully met.

To do this, I liaise with our partners on a daily basis to keep a close eye on the various stages of development.
My job is at the crossroads between sales and purchasing.
I’m also in charge of developing my customer portfolio. Finally, on a day-to-day basis, I keep my finger on the pulse of the market and major trends.

What skills are important to you in your day-to-day work?

First of all, I’d say that initiative and proactivity are essential for anticipating needs and seizing opportunities.
Diplomacy is also essential to maintain harmonious relations with customers and partners.

Organizational skills are also important, enabling you to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently. On the other hand, creativity is an invaluable quality for proposing innovative solutions and standing out in the marketplace.
I think you also need to be curious enough to stay abreast of emerging trends.

Last but not least, the ability to bounce back from the unexpected is essential for coping with the challenges and unexpected changes that can arise in day-to-day professional life.

What do you think will be the main trends or challenges facing your position tomorrow?

First of all, I would say the ever-increasing cost of raw materials.
This is a real economic challenge, requiring good management between our sales offers and our sourcing strategies.

Secondly, the need to reinvent ourselves in the face of increasingly intense competition is unavoidable.
This requires us to be constantly attentive to market needs, and to adjust our offering accordingly.

Finally, the growing demand for ever more innovative products adapted to a connected generation is forcing us to rethink our products so that they are both visually appealing and practical and relevant in a digital world.
Offering smaller formats and “instagrammable” products is becoming essential to remain competitive in a constantly evolving market.
